Important Reminder Regarding Your Water Meter

If your water meter has been estimating for more than 3 cycles, please contact the Bradford City Water Authority to schedule an appointment to have your water meter inspected and/or replaced.

Flushing Notice Schedule Change

Notice of Schedule Change – Hydrant Flushing

Please note that the scheduled flushing, which began this week, has been delayed by one day and will now extend into Monday, May 12.

The revised schedule is as follows:

• Thursday: 6th Ward, Route 219, Minard Run Rd., and Lafayette Township

• Friday: Lafayette Township, E. Main St., and Foster Township Area

• Monday: E. Main St., Foster Township Area, and Derrick Rd. Area

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain water quality and system reliability.

Please note: The flushing schedule may be extended if crews are redirected to handle other emergency repairs. Please monitor our Facebook page for any changes to the flushing schedule or area updates.

Watershed and Reservoirs

The Bradford City Water Authority has three (3) surface water reservoirs that serve the Bradford Water System. The Marilla and Gilbert Reservoirs are open to public use. Recreational activities such as trail walking/hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and fishing are permitted at our Marilla Reservoir and similar activities exist at our Gilbert Reservoir, with the exception of fishing, which is currently catch-and-release only until the population and fish size are appropriate. (Fires, camping, swimming, littering, ATV’s and any unauthorized vehicles are prohibited throughout the watershed and all reservoirs). 

However, the Heffner Reservoir on West Corydon Street is the primary water source and has always been restricted to public use for the safety of both the reservoir and the public. This includes no fishing. We want to remind everyone that the immediate property at and around the Water Treatment Plant and Heffner Reservoir is posted NO TRESPASSING.

Please observe these rules for your safety and the safety of our primary drinking water source.
